Well for those programmers out there they will recognize this as my first posting. Typically your first computer program you write displays "Hello World!" Okay now that the geeky stuff is out of the way...
I thought I would start this blog to chronicle my journey through the application process to join the Foreign Service as an Information Management Specialist (IMS), and hopefully mine and my family's journey with the FS.
Well, just a brief introduction. More to come later.

ReplyDeleteI am currently at the IMS "wannabee" stage. I have submitted an application for an IMS position and am currently waiting to hear some sort of response. The position closes on 8/12/11. How long did it take you from the time you submitted till the time you first had communication from State?
I love that your blog is specifically from the perspective of an IMS person as well. I have been quite curious as to what the technical training would be like and if I (assuming I were offered and accepted) were to need to take foreign language training.
